Ripanera 2009 Chianti Classico

The 2009 Chianti Classico is a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Canaiolo, Trebbiano, and Malvasia. Despite the addition of Cabernet Sauvignon this wine continues to be a very traditional styled Classico, with focus on fruit and a balanced, harmonious flavor profile. The wine is estate grown and estate bottled in a strictly limited production.

Notes

It is a beautiful, elegant red wine with a harmonious structure. It displays pretty aromas and flavors of crushed violets, berries, black cherries, cedar and spice. Medium bodied with velvety tannins, a plush texture and balanced acidity. Touches of mineral, herbs and earth add to the complexity of this wine and echo on the delicious finish. This wine is drinkable now but will continue to improve with further cellaring.
